Maryam Bahrani
I'm a researcher at a16z crypto focusing on mechanism design and incentives in blockchains.
Previously, I was a PhD student in the theoretical computer science group at Columbia University advised by Prof. Tim Roughgarden. I did my undergrad in the computer science at Princeton University, where I was lucky to work with Prof. Matt Weinberg on algorithmic game theory and social networks, as well as Dr. Jérémie Lumbroso on Analytic combinatorics and graph theory. After graduation, I spent a year working as a quantitative trader at Jane Street Capital.
